70+ Division 2 Breakout Session Notes submitted by Paul Gordon and approved by Executive Board
Breakout was fairly uneventful. Following is what was agreed to and needs board approval.
- Southlake’s will give 5 runs and an extra player to each opponent in the second half for the sake of competitive balance. In the case of a doubleheader, they would only give 3 runs per game but still the extra player.
- Greyhounds will seek to arrange doubleheaders where possible provided opponents agree to such. If they do not agree and only one game is played, the cancelled game will not count in the standings, similar to a rainout.
- Flyers will continue to play in Hurst as in the first half. The city will line the field but not drag them.
That’s about it Tom. If we can have your approval, I will notify the teams in our league.
Thanks for accommodating all the changes, especially the longer break. Everyone is feeling like that was a good move for our ancient teams.
