METROPLEX SENIOR SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION-MINUTES

  1. Tom Athens, President, called the meeting to order at 11:05a.m.
  2. All attendees recited the Lord’s Prayer.
  3. All attendees said the Pledge of Allegiance.
  4. Tom Athens led a roll call for teams that were in attendance.  
  5. There was a motion and a second to approve the Feb 22, 2024 minutes. The motion passed.
  6. Mike McGlothin, Treasurer, gave the Treasurer’s report at the February 22 meeting   There was a motion and a second to approve the report.  The motion passed.
  7. New Business
    A. Game reporting was presented. Home team turns in the scores day of the game. Player fees and Accident Waiver and Liability Forms were collected from all teams.·Senior Men 60+: Tom Athens, text: 817-271-5500 or email: tga3@sbcglobal.net·

7. General Announcements:

     ·      League Play Begins Apr 2, 2024

      ·      There will be no June Coaches Meeting.  Next coaches meeting will be in August prior to the beginning of the Fall Season.  Date and time to be determined.

      ·      Executive Board is currently working on updating the constitution and bylaws.

     ·       Volunteers are needed to setup and run any post-season tournaments.  League officers can provide guidance and suggestions only. Farmers Branch indicated they would work to organize a tournament for the 65+ Divisions
