Blessed with GREAT weather, the tournament was a great success.  I want to thank everyone for their participation, and the help in putting this together.  Thank you Bill Smith for working with the City of Mesquite and getting the facility and your “groundsmanship” taking care of the field markings etc.   Thanks to Erik Rinne (Mesquite Old Pros) and Tony Griffin (Mesquite Texans) for representing Mesquite and being there throughout every game of the tourney…whether you were playing or not.   And of course thanks to the participating teams coaches/managers for leading your teams in what I hope was a fun filled tournament with good softball, and good sportsmanship…and thanks to MSCSA board members Tom Athens and Mike McGlothlin for their support throughout this process.

Farmers Branch went undefeated throughout the two days…and won the Championship game in a hard fought battle with the Richardson Roadrunners, who beat everyone they played over the two days…except for the Codgers…
